            Abstract

This was the first face-to-face British HCI Conference Doctoral Consortium since COVID-19 lockdown. This offered challenges to participants who had not previously had the opportunity for in-person presentations and also an opportunity to learn from the lessons of the 2020 DC that had been planned to be at Keele, but forced online. Thirteen doctoral researchers took part representing universities across the UK and a wide variety of topics and were aided by four panellists, themselves representing a wide variety of methodological positions and experience in academia. In particular, two of the panellists had themselves been student participants at the 2020 BHCI DC.
