      Comparative Analysis of Solid Core Bone Marrow Specimens Obtained Using Argon Medical Tlok Bone Marrow Biopsy Needle vs BD Jamshidi Biopsy Needle : An In-Depth Examination of Clinical Efficacy and Sample Quality

            Abstract

            This study provides a detailed comparative analysis of solid core bone marrow specimens obtained using the Argon Medical Tlok™bone marrow biopsy needle versus the BD Jamshidi ™biopsy needle. Two sets of 20 specimens each were extracted from ovine iliac crest, using 11-gauge needles, mirroring typical clinical practice. The results conclusively highlight a statistical superiority of the Tlok™needle over the Jamshidi™needle in terms of specimen length, specimen volume, and the reduced occurrence of crush artifact. These findings have significant implications for diagnostic accuracy and patient management across various hematological disorders.
