This study investigated the effect of work environment on employee performance using Nigeria Bottling Company Plc as a case study. The objective of this study therefore geared towards ascertaining whether the nature of physical work environment affect employees’ performance. This work also tends to examine the effect of work environment on the performance of employee. The study adopted Affective Event theory as its base. To achieve the study objectives, relevant and related literatures were review from the research study findings. The research survey design approach was used. Through simple random sampling technique 121 respondents were selected from the Nigerian bottling company Plc Owerri. The study relies on Pearson Product Moment Correlation analyses for testing the formulated hypotheses. The study found from the analyses that there is a relationship existing between physical environmental factor, and employee performance in Nigerian bottling company Pl. Owerri. And that work environment affects employees’ performance in Nigerian bottling company Plc, Owerri. The study recommends among others that the management should ensure that there is adequate and proper improvement of working environment of employee’s so as to enhance their morale to work efficiently and effectively.
