      Biomedical Applications and Research Progress of Electrospinning Technology and Electrospinning Nanofibers

            Abstract

            Electrospinning technology is one of the most popular technologies in nanoscience and nanotechnology, there are a variety of polymers can be used to spin (natural materials, composite materials and inorganic materials) into micro/nanofibers, obtained micro/nanofibers usually have special structures or special functions with excellent flexibility and adjustability. In recent years, electrospinning has attracted more and more attention of researchers, showing great application potentials in the field of biomedicine or biomedical engineering. In this review, we will introduce the working principle and types of electrospinning, the improvements of electrospinning devices, the properties and property applications of electrospinning micro/nanofibers in recent years, and emphasis on the applications of electrospinning micro/nanofibers in biomedical or biomedical engineering. At the end of this review, the prospective and challenges of application of electrospinning technology and micro/nanofiers was also discussed, We hoped this review may provide some ideas and inspirations for the applications of electrospinning technology in biomedical or biomedical engineering.
