Plant science has always played a crucial role in the evolution of the human race. Since agriculture is one of the most important aspects of plant science, the distinction between traditional methodologies and futuristic computer-based technology is important. We combined crop enhancement strategies with multiple 'omics' technologies, primarily genomics and bioinformatics. We've also discussed why crop improvement is necessary, as well as the strategies employed in crop improvement. The benefits and drawbacks of bioinformatics in crop enhancement were also considered. With a nod to the future, this poster illustrates the arrival of bioinformatics technology in agriculture, as well as the eras when it was and was not used.
