      William Baker is Distinguished Emeritus Professor, Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, Illinois). A festschrift edited by his former students, Kenneth Womack and James M. Decker, appeared as Victorian Literary Cultures: Studies in Textual Subversion (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 2016). His The Literature of the Fox: A Reference Guide to Jewish Writing in the UK, co-authored with Jeanette Shumaker (Brooklyn, NY: AMS Press, 2016), is the first in a two-volume account of the subject.
