            Abstract

In the city of Baroda, industrialization and urbanization have led to a deficiency in the current water supply. This problem has been exacerbated by surface and groundwater pollution. Water budget studies predict that the deficit in demand and supply will become even more severe in the year 2001. Groundwater is the main source of water in the city, but it is insufficient due to pollution. The water budget was calculated based on the current available water draft and demand, and it was found that there is a significant deficit in both the present and future. Possible solutions to this problem include increasing water supply through the construction of reservoirs and improving water management techniques, as well as reducing water demand through the implementation of water conservation measures.
