            Abstract

This article discusses the issue of bird conservation in India. It highlights the need for more comprehensive and accurate assessments of the status of different bird species in the country, including their numbers, distribution, and available habitat for feeding and breeding. The article also emphasizes the importance of considering the interactions and relationships between humans and wildlife in conservation efforts, and the need to focus on protecting the habitats of threatened bird species, particularly forests and wetlands. The author expresses concern about the declining numbers and availability of suitable breeding and feeding habitats for many bird species in India.
