            Abstract

Maharashtra State's 720 km coastline features diverse landscapes, from rocky shores to sandy beaches and mudflats. Mangrove forests stand out as salt-tolerant ecosystems, supporting a rich variety of plant and animal species. These mangroves provide essential resources and habitats for coastal communities and wildlife. Additionally, the article highlights the need for further research to better understand and protect this vital coastal ecosystem.
