Bar-headed Goose (Anser indicus) breeds in the western part of China, mainly in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau area and wintering in the south west part of China. Occasionally it appears in the middle and lower course of the Yangtze river. It is estimated that about 10,000 pairs are breeding in China each year.
