            Abstract

The article discusses the importance of having the right attitudes towards sustainability, rather than relying solely on technological solutions. The author argues that attitudes such as self-restraint and self-denial are necessary for creating a sustainable future, and that the current trend of adding "green" features to designs is often based on a consumeristic lifestyle. The author also criticizes the use of green ratings and certifications, which can be manipulated to give the appearance of sustainability without actually reducing energy consumption. Overall, the article emphasizes the need for a holistic understanding of sustainability, and a shift away from materialistic attitudes towards a simpler, more sustainable way of life.
