Francesco Asdrubali

    Biography

    Francesco Asdrubali graduated at the University of Perugia in 1990 and was awarded a PhD degree in Thermophisical properties of materials in 1996. In 1997 he joined the Industrial Department of the University of Perugia as an Assistant Professor; in 2002 he became Associate Professor in the same University.

    Prof. Asdrubali is author of more than 200 papers – most of them on international journals or on the proceedings of international conferences - in the fields of environmental and building acoustics, renewable energies, refrigerating machines, lighting design, thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings and of various book.

    In the years 2004-2012 he served as Director of CIRIAF, a National Research Centre in the field of Pollution and Environment.

    Since 2014 he is the Editor of the International Journal of Noise mapping.

    His teaching activities include Energy systems and the environment, Renewable energies, Applied Acoustics, Applied Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer.

    Coordinator of the following international and EU funded research programs:

    -  VIGONI Project – German-Italian collaboration between the University of Perugia and TUB Technical University of Berlin: “Theoretical and experimental study on solar absorption refrigerating machines”, 2004-2005.

     British-Italian Joint Research Program, between the University of Perugia and the University of Bradford (UK): “Multi-functional Sustainable Materials for Noise Control”, 2004-2005.

     Scientific and technological collaboration between Italy and Argentina: “Quantitative indicators of urban quality life: energy and greenhouse gas emissions aspects”, 2006-07.

     GREEN POST "Green Alternative Postal Vehicle project", EU Intelligent Energy Europe, 2008-2010.
