Jaroslav is an expert in the field of organic and macromolecular chemistry. As a member of the working group for macromolecular IUPAC nomenclature, Jaroslav co-authored the manual for recommended IUPAC nomenclature. Jaroslav's service to the community extends beyond his research work and knowledge. He has significantly contributed to the level of cultivation and professional language and expression in many publications of the Institute, which had passed through his hands during his many years of experience as a constitutional editor.
