Background

 

Family Medicine and Community Health (FMCH) publishes on a quarterly basis relevant content across disciplines such as epidemiology, public health, social and preventive medicine, research and evidence based medicine, community health service, patient education and health promotion and health ethics. The journal has a specific focus on the management of chronic illness particularly diabetes, ischaemic heart disease, chronic heart failure, hypertension, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive airways disease and common mental illness. The articles range from research to clinical practice, from education and training to management of community health centers.

 

 

Aims & Scope

 

The journal of Family Medicine and Community Health (FMCH) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access journal focusing on the topics of family medicine/general practice and community health such as epidemiology, public policy and public health, chronic disease control and management, community health delivery, preventive medicine, disease burden, community genetics and counseling, and education and training in family medicine/general practice worldwide with a special emphasis on Chinese and developing world modalities.

The journal of FMCH aims to provide a forum for the timely communication of medical knowledge and skills with the goal of promoting improved health care through the practice of family and community-based medicine globally.

FMCH welcomes the following article types: Editorials, Original research, Review articles, Commentaries, Case reports, Case studies, Methodologies, Policy briefs, Cochrane updates, Education and training articles, Letters to the Editor, and Organization news. FMCH does not impose any article processing charges (APC) or submission charges.

The journal of Family Medicine and Community Health (FMCH) encourages its contributors and reviewers to adopt the standards of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors .  The Journal will not consider papers that have been accepted for publication or published elsewhere.
