      Researches on coinfection of Toxoplasma gondii among HIV/AIDS patients in China: a review

          Abstract

          Toxoplasmosis is a serious opportunistic zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii ( T. gondii), which has a wide range of parasitic hosts. A host is more susceptible to this disease when there is a decreased activity of its immune system. Human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) patients would have increased possibility of T. gondii infection when they have damaged immune cells and inhibited immune system due to having radiotherapy or chemotherapy. HIV/AIDS co-infected with T. gondii seriously affect the patients’ the prognosis and quality of life and more and more researchers have paid their attention to this issue. This study reviews researches on the prevalence, genotyping, diagnosis and treatment of T. gondii co-infection among HIV/AIDS patients in China and puts forward some suggestions for the prevention and control of T. gondii infection in HIV/AIDS patients.

          【摘 要】弓形虫病是一种危害严重的由刚地弓形虫引起的机会性人兽共患寄生虫病,该病感染的宿主广泛,在机体免疫力低下时,易感性增强。艾滋病病毒感染者/获得性免疫缺陷综合征(HIV/AIDS)患者接受放射化疗、药物治疗等治疗方法免疫细胞受损,免疫系统抑制,增加了弓形虫病感染的机会。HIV/AIDS 患者合并感染弓形虫病严重影响患者的预后及生存质量,其相关研究逐步成为 HIV/AIDS 和弓形虫病研究热点。本文对我国 HIV/AIDS 患者合并感染弓形虫的流行情况、基因分型、以及目前的诊治,建议措施做一概述,旨在为有效防控 HIV/AIDS 患者合并感染弓形虫提供参考。
