This paper ypresents two building blocks: a) a mobile service for supporting local food production/consumption implemented in Dolenjska region developed on the open source platform LOKeT and b) an open source platform LOKeT designed for building new innovative mobile services based on Direct-to-Consumer Market model. The platform LOKeT is available free to open source community for further design of mobile services and for further innovation. It might be used by various companies developing mobile apps and open source communities in New Zealand and abroad.
