Abstract
The focus of this article is on the role of vestibular rehabilitation in the remediation
of postural and gaze instability in individuals with peripheral vestibular deficits.
Although vestibular rehabilitation does not cure the organic disease that produces
the balance disorder, it improves mobility, prevents falls, and overall has a positive
impact on the quality of life for the patient.
