          Abstract

          The Royal Victoria Hospital, a geriatric medicine assessment and rehabilitation hospital in Edinburgh, was re-provided into a new 130 bed purpose-built unit on the Western General Hospital site in June 2012. All patient rooms in the new unit are single occupancy with en-suite facilities.
