Most inappropriate shocks from the subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator
(S-ICD) are caused by cardiac oversensing. A novel sensing methodology, SMART Pass
(SP; Boston Scientific Corporation, Natick, MA), aims to reduce cardiac oversensing.
