Abstract
The JACS Au editorial team relies on two key advisory groups to guide our journal
operations, our Editorial Advisory Board (EAB), composed of mostly
senior scientists and engineers, and our Early Career Advisor Board
(ECAB), which brings early career perspectives to the journal. In
parallel, the ECAB also plays a key role honoring and highlighting
recently published papers through our “ECAB Selects”
program,

with those papers selected for
this program being eligible for our annual Outstanding Paper Award.
With this editorial, I am pleased to introduce the 2024 Early Career
Advisory Board (Table 1
).

Second year board members.
Nominations for membership on the ECAB are sought each year from
the broader community, from the EAB, and from our editorial team.
Nominees have typically earned a PhD 3–10 years ago and are
actively involved in the professional community, including through
scientific publishing. As noted above, the ECAB identifies top publications
appearing in JACS Au on a quarterly basis and these
“ECAB Selects” papers become nominees for the annual JACS Au Outstanding Paper Award.
The winner of this recognition
receives a publication voucher that waives open access publication
fees for a future ACS Au family journal publication.
JACS Au publishes Articles and Letters consistent
with the top 10% of papers in any ACS Publications journal, covering
all areas of chemistry and allied fields. Additionally, we publish
a limited number of Perspectives, with our EAB and ECAB members often
serving as manuscript reviewers and advisors. We are pleased to welcome
our newest collection of ECAB members to our team and congratulate
them on their nomination and selection for this board.
