Abstract
Evolocumab, a monoclonal antibody that inhibits proprotein convertase subtilisin-kexin
type 9 (PCSK9), significantly reduced low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels
in short-term studies. We conducted two extension studies to obtain longer-term data.
