          Abstract

          Este trabajo presenta un modelo constitutivo de fácil implementación numérica para la predicción del comportamiento mecánico de compuestos particulados de matriz termoplástica a temperaturas superiores a Tg basado en teorías micromecánicas y fenomenológicas. Con este modelo es posible obtener las propiedades del material macro con base en las características de sus componentes (micro). Este modelo exhibe una concordancia razonable con experimentos para diferentes fracciones volumétricas de partículas.

          Translated abstract

          This work describes an easy to use constitutive model able to predict the mechanical behavior of polymer matrix particulate composites at temperatures above the glass transition temperature Tg. This model was based on both phenomenological and micromechanical theories. With the model proposed it is possible to obtain the properties of the material (macro) using the characteristics of its components (micro). This model exhibits a reasonable agreement with experiments under various volume fractions of particles.
