          Abstract

Apical ballooning syndrome, or takotsubo cardiomyopathy, is a syndrome characterized by transient left ventricular dysfunction, frequently presenting with electrocardiographic changes and elevated cardiac biomarkers in the absence of obstructive coronary artery disease. We describe a case where repeated emotional stress caused recurrent ventricular dysfunction in varying regions of the left ventricle.
