          Abstract

Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) and parathyroid hormone (PTH) are major players in the bone-parathyroid-kidney axis controlling phosphate homeostasis. In patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT), data on the relationship between PTH and FGF23 are scarce and not always concordant.
