          Abstract

Four new species are described in the genus Odontidium from the Himalaya in Nepal, and the Garhwal and Kumaon regions in India using light and electron microscopy. We compare the Himalayan taxa to recently described species from the European Alps and Macedonia. In addition we illustrate some specimens of Diatoma rupestris, a species recently described from China, in the Nepalese Himalaya.
