LA DIMENSIÓN ARGUMENTATIVA DE LAS MEMORIAS DISCURSIVAS: EL CASO DE LOS DISCURSOS GOLPISTAS DE LA PRENSA ESCRITA ARGENTINA (1930-1976) Translated title: THE ARGUMENTATIVE DIMENSION IN DISCURSIVE MEMOIRS: THE CASE OF THE COUP D’ETAT DISCOURSES IN THE ARGENTINIAN PRESS (1930-1976)

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es caracterizar la dimensión argumentativa de las memorias discursivas, específicamente en el caso de los editoriales y comentarios emitidos por la prensa escrita argentina para apoyar los sucesivos golpes de Estado durante el periodo 1930-1976. Para estudiar esta dimensión argumentativa en el caso aquí analizado, se denomina memoria retórico-argumental al retorno (transformación u olvido, en una serie discursiva) de estrategias persuasivas que tienen la función de generar la adhesión a dichos golpes militares. Se siguieron dos vías para tal fin, en el marco de la tendencia francesa de Análisis del Discurso y desde una perspectiva retórica de estudio de la argumentación: el análisis de los tópicos y de las técnicas argumentativas.

Translated abstract

This article seeks to characterize the argumentative dimension of the discursivememory (Courtine, 1981, 1994), specifically in the case of the editorials and comments issued by the Argentinian written press in order to support the successive Coups d´Etat, during the period of 1930-1976. To analize this argumentative dimension, we called argumentative-rhetoric memory the return (the transformation or oblivion in the discursive series) of persuasive strategies which, in the case here analyzed, have the function of creating the political adhesion to such Coups d´Etat. Two ways were followed within the French tendency of discourse analysis (Charaudeau & Maingueneau, 2005; Maingueneau, 1996) and from the rhetoric perspective of study of argumentation (Perelman y Olbrechts-Tyteca, 1989; Amossy, 2000): the analysis of the topics and the argumentative techniques.
