          Abstract

Adnexal torsion is a serious condition that frequently may result in ovarian removal, and there always is a risk of castration if the contralateral ovary undergo torsion as well. In this study, the authors present their experience with adnexal torsion in 15 children and describe a catastrophic event, asynchronous bilateral adnexal torsion, with review of the literature.
