          Abstract

          Os Transtornos Ansiosos estiveram presentes em diferentes momentos históricos e culturais. O adoecimento humano intensifica e nos remete a uma profunda investigação sobre medos e fantasias frente à possibilidade de morte que o estigma de algumas doenças, como o câncer, pode causar. Nesse contexto, objetivou-se analisar os sintomas de ansiedade em 35 pacientes oncológicos do Hospital da FAP em Campina Grande - PB. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: questionário sócio-demográfico, a avaliação do estado de exame mental, a escala de Hamilton e entrevista semi-estruturada para garantia de uma demanda mais natural de informações coletadas e analisadas a partir de categorias analíticas. Os resultados indicaram que os pacientes oncológicos sofrem de sintomas ansiosos mesmo antes de seu diagnóstico, tais transtornos encontram-se mais evidentes durante a trajetória de internação e tratamento parte do processo de recuperação. A presença de sintomas ansiosos apresentou-se ligada principalmente a dois fatores: a associação entre o câncer e a iminência de morte e a ausência da família. Logo, a cura para muitos dos entrevistados é fator de dúvida o que repercute numa má informação sobre o tema.

          Translated abstract

          The Anxiety Disorders had been gifts at different historical and cultural moments. The human illness intensifies and in it sends to a deep inquiry on fears and fancies to them front of the death possibility that the stigma of some illnesses, like cancer, can cause. In this context, it was objectified to analyze the symptoms of anxiety in 35 cancer patients of the FAP’s Hospital in Campina Grande - PB. The used instruments had been: partner-demographic questionnaire, the evaluation of the state of mental examination, the scale of Hamilton and interview half-structuralized for guarantee of a more natural demand of information collected and analyzed from analytical categories. The results had indicated that the cancer patients suffer exactly from anxious symptoms before its diagnosis, such upheavals meet during the trajectory of internment and treatment evident party to suit of recovery. The presence of anxious symptoms mainly presented on the two factors: the association between the cancer and the imminence of death and the absence of the family. Soon, the cure for many of the interviewed ones is doubt factor what it reverberates in one me the information on the subject.
