          Abstract

          La première vague de l’épidémie de Covid-19 qui a frappé la France au printemps 2020 a fait naître une polémique au sujet du tri des patients à l’admission à l’hôpital. À partir de cette polémique, ce texte cherchera à expliciter cette notion de tri et, plus largement, à éclairer la position éthique des médecins qui se trouvent au chevet des malades soumis aux stratégies de santé publique, aux données scientifiques, aux injonctions réglementaires et aux devoirs déontologiques.

          Translated abstract

          During the first wave of the Covid-19 epidemic that hit France in the spring of 2020 sparked controversy over the triage of patients in the emergency room. From this controversy, this text will seek to clarify this notion of triage and, and to shed light on the ethical position of bedside physicians who find themselves summited to public health strategies, scientific data, regulatory injunctions and ethical duties.
