Abstract

Se abordan los conceptos de alfabetización tecnológica y alfabetización informacional, así como sus interrelaciones. Se presentan los atributos que permiten identificar a un individuo alfabetizado en tecnologías de la información y se operacionalizan por medio de los conceptos fundamentales, las capacidades intelectuales y las habilidades que exige el uso de las tecnologías de la información. Se explican las técnicas, instrumentos y el método utilizado para desarrollar la proyección de alfabetización informacional para una institución determinada. Se exponen los resultados del diagnóstico del nivel de alfabetización informacional que poseen los usuarios de dicho centro. Finalmente, se muestra la correlación que debe existir entre las normas, los indicadores y los resultados una vez terminadas las diferentes etapas del proceso de alfabetización.

Translated abstract

The concepts of technological literacy and informational literacy, as well as their interrelations are dealt with. The attributes allowing to identify a literate in information technologies are shown and the intellectual capacities and skills demanded by the use of the information technologies became operational by means of the fundamental concepts. The techniques, instruments, and methods used to develop the informational literacy projection for a specific institution are explained. The results of the diagnosis of the informational literacy level attained by the users are presented. Finally, the correlation that should exist among the norms, the indicators and the results, once the different stages of the literacy process are concluded, is given.
