Abstract

Resumen En el presente artículo hemos reunido diversos textos del filósofo y teólogo Ignacio Ellacuría, destacando su idea de paz, y cómo en esta es importante también la idea de cuidado. En el escrito, destacamos dos aspectos centrales de su obra, la fundamentación y la historización, mostrando la necesaria armonización entre teoría y praxis que caracterizaban sus obras y su vida. En particular, hemos seleccionado textos de la última década de su vida (1979-1989), escritos en El Salvador, queriendo develar cómo es que la definición propuesta cobra sentido en el contexto de violencia que vivía este país, producto de la desigualdad estructural y de la guerra; pero, por otro lado, conversando con la filosofía de quien fuera su maestro, Xavier Zubiri, para ahondar en la necesaria y radical presencia del cuidado en la vida humana. Más allá de este, de entender teóricamente la relevancia de conceptos como generadores de posibilidades y capacidades para la humanización del ser humano, el texto muestra la importancia para Ellacuría de dar ese paso con la convicción de que debe haber también acciones concretas que permitan hacer posible su efectiva realización en un determinado presente y lugar. Para ello, genera unos mínimos universalizables para una vida digna y equilibrada que también presentamos como propuesta, nos referimos a la Civilización de la Pobreza.

Abstract In this article we have gathered various texts by the philosopher and theologian Ignacio Ellacuría, emphasizing his idea of peace, and how in this, the idea of care is also important. In the writing, we emphasize two central aspects of his work, the foundation and the historicization, showing the necessary harmonization between theory and praxis that characterized his works and his life. In particular, we have selected texts from the last decade of his life (1979-1989), written from El Salvador, wanting to reveal how the proposed definition makes sense in the context of violence that this country lives, product of structural inequality and of war, but, on the other hand, conversing with the philosophy of his teacher, Xavier Zubiri, to delve into the necessary and radical presence of care in human life. Beyond this, to theoretically understand the relevance of concepts as generators of possibilities and capacities for the humanization of the human being, the text shows the importance for Ellacuría of taking this step with the conviction that there must also be concrete actions that make it possible to its effective realization in a certain present and place. To do this, it generates universal minimums for a dignified and balanced life that we also present as a proposal, we refer to the Civilization of Poverty.
