            Abstract

The concept of Emotional Communities has been a fruitful category for understandingthe collective action of grassroot organisations in Bogota, Colombia. We developed ourown approach of the concept thanks to the input from many authors who have used itas well as from our empirical findings in research. In this paper, we first introduce ourepistemological position on emotions and allow ourselves to contribute the concept ofcorpo-emotional processes to the debate; Second, we concentrate on a discussionabout emotional communities and the most relevant perspectives nurturing our ownconceptualisation, which we offer lastly as another contribution to the field ofSociocultural Studies of Emotions.
