      Students’ perception on Synchronous (virtual chat) or Asynchronous learning (Discussion board)

            Abstract

            Due to increase in business and Covid-19 the usage of online education has increased a lot. Synchronous (virtual chat) and asynchronous (discussion board) are by products of online education. In this research paper I am going to find out students’ perception on virtual class vs discussion board. A questionnaire was made and sent it through Microsoft forms and a total of100 teachers from three different colleges 3 educational platforms and a total of 100 students from 5 different colleges and universities have participated and results are taken. Results were further analyzed using SPSS tool and it came to my observation that there is no significant difference on students’ perception on synchronous vs asynchronous. But what I found out is slight majority of students are preferring for discussion board type because it’s convenient for them to use at any time.
