    Biography

    Professor Tom Wainwright is a physiotherapist, clinical academic and quality improvement specialist. He is Professor in Orthopaedics and Deputy Head of the Orthopaedic Research Institute at Bournemouth University. Tom has a broad range of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal related research interests, and has a proven funding and publication track record as a Chief Investigator. He is internationally recognised for his work on Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) protocols within orthopaedics, and led the production of the ERAS Society Hip and Knee Guidelines.
