My name is Tanzir Islam Britto. Professionally, I am a physician and am interested in the Medical Research field.
My journey in medicine began at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College (BSMMC), formerly Faridpur Medical College, where I completed my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Following my degree, I interned at Dhaka Medical College (DMC), which solidified my practical medical skills and passion for this noble profession.
I then pursued post-graduate training in Medicine at DMC, continuing to expand my medical knowledge and expertise. I also received specialized training in Endocrinology from the prestigious Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine, and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM).
I got accepted as a Resident in Chittagong Medical College Hospital, in Nephrology. Due to personal reasons, I decided not to continue my residency there.
Today, I am in the migration process at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology (NIKDU) to work diligently and nurture a dream to specialize in Nephrology. I also serve patients at a kidney hospital, a fulfilling experience that adds to my daily medical practice.
My education began at Bangladesh Bank High School, where I completed my Secondary School Certificate (SSC). I then attended the Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, where I resided for a while before completing my Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Ideal School and College.
Due to health-related reasons, I had to migrate from BSMMC during my MBBS, and a similar scenario unfolded during my residency at Chittagong Medical College Hospital. My migration to NIKDU is now in progress, demonstrating how my journey in medicine has been both challenging and rewarding.
Beyond my medical career, I enjoy watching web series, movies, and documentaries. I'm an avid reader, with medical textbooks like 'Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine,' 'Robbins Basic Pathology,' and 'Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology currently at the top of my reading list.
I've written extensively for various online and offline publications, including Jugantor, Bangladesh Pratidin, eArki, Sarabangla.net, and, occasionally, Prothom Alo. My blogging journey began on somewhereinblog.com in 2006–2007.

After my experiences with these movements, I chose to take a hiatus from the online world for four years. I decided to focus on building my career, and today, I am a satisfied doctor.
I have always loved reflecting and thinking. This passion has led to my website, 'Brrittos Brainwaves,' where I share my thoughts.
