Advances in echocardiography have made possible simple, noninvasive evaluation of the heart. We report the echocardiographic findings in a case of intrapericardial bronchogenic cyst. The patient, a 36-year-old womanwas hospitalized because of pericarditis. Echocardiography revealed a large unilocular cystic structure extending from behind the left atrium to the base of the left ventricle. Although the lesion was diagnosed as an intrapericardial bronchogenic cyst histopathologically, echocardiography was also of use in arriving at the correct diagnosis.
