      Abstract

      La biomasa residual del café, químicamente modificada, fue utilizada para evaluar la adsorción y la cinética de los iones plomo (II) y cadmio (II) de soluciones acuosas a escala de laboratorio en proceso Batch. Experimentalmente se comprueba que el biosorbente preparado tiene preferencia por el ion plomo (II) frente al ion cadmio (II). El proceso de adsorción está representado por el modelo cinético de pseudo primer orden, Elovich y reversible de primer orden.

      Translated abstract

      Residual biomass of the chemically modified coffee was used to evaluate the adsorption and the kinetics of lead (II) and cadmium (II) ions from aqueous solutions scale of laboratory in process batch. Experimentally it is verified that the adsorbent has preference by the lead (II) ion, in front of cadmium (II) ion. The process of adsorption is represented by the kinetic model of pseudo first order and model of Elovich and reversible of first order.
