A good design considered the safety elements are the fundamental approach in ensuring natural surveillance. This study aims to assess the safety elements in conserved heritage buildings by utilizing CPTED elements as assessment tools. The objective of the study is to determine whether the original design or the conservation work considered crime prevention aspect in the design. Elements used in CPTED formed an intensive Pro-forma checklist used in evaluating selected heritage building for this study.
