      OLD HAVANA AS AN EXEMPLARY CASE OF WORLD HERITAGE PROTECTION

            Abstract

            The Old City of Havana was inscribed as a World Heritage Site subject to the provisions of the World Heritage Convention in 1982. This article describes the way in which the Government of the Republic of Cuba, as a signatory to the Convention, has carried out its obligations under this International Legal Instrument.
