    Self description

    Prof. Gan wandered around electrochemistry, fracture before dedicated to surface physics/chemistry — particularly those highly interdisciplinary and "not-so-hot" topics. He is an enthusiastic book review writer, academic writing tutor, and OA publishing supporter (editorial board members of Sci Rep, PLoS One, Sci Open, etc). He received 2013 Frans Habraken Best Paper Award (Elsevier), 2014 HIT Teaching Excellence Award. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2015.
