          Abstract

          PLOS and the PLOS Genetics team want to sincerely thank all of our Editorial Board Members, Guest Editors, and Reviewers for the journal in 2018. Your contributions of time and expertise support your research community, advance scientific progress, and continue to make PLOS Genetics a leader in its field. This past year, PLOS Genetics received the assistance of 183 Editorial Board members, 349 Guest Editors, and 2,339 Reviewers, who handled 2,175 manuscripts that resulted in 581 publications (Fig 1). 10.1371/journal.pgen.1008031.g001 Fig 1 2018 PLOS Genetics Global Editor and Reviewer Locations.             PLOS Genetics 2016 Reviewer and Editorial Board Thank You

            PLOS and the PLOS Genetics team would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who lent us their expertise as an associate editor, as a guest editor, or as a peer reviewer in 2016. We are fully dependent on the voluntary efforts of these experts to publish the journal for the academic community. Over the past year, PLOS Genetics relied on 654 associate and guest editors to manage the 2,474 articles submitted to the journal, which were assessed by nearly 3,000 reviewers. Their efforts enabled the publication of more than 680 rigorous, Open Access papers.               PLOS Genetics 2017 Reviewer and Editorial Board Thank You

              PLOS and the PLOS Genetics team would like to express our appreciation for our associate editors, guest editors, and reviewers who contributed to the peer-review process this past year. We are indebted to our volunteers who generously give their time and expertise to thoroughly review research and advance Open Access. In 2017, PLOS Genetics received the help of 179 Editorial Board members and 389 guest editors to curate 2,160 submissions. Along with the participation of 2,574 reviewers, we were able to publish 552 articles with meaningful and impactful results.
